If you paid for your boat registration renewal and received a refund check in excess of $12.50. NYS is automatically issuing refund checks to those who had already paid the surcharge with their boat registration fee, however, some those checks have been issued in incorrect amounts. Currently, clients can take Class D and Class M permit tests online through the NYS DMV website and then contact their county of residence to be approved by a staff member to come in to have the permit issued. Appointments must be scheduled for all in-person permit tests. Enhanced and REAL ID licenses will not be processed between the hours of 12:00 p.m. The hours of operation in the Yates County DMV office are 9:00 a.m.
